Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Courage is commanded because God goes with you wherever you go.
Some days you need a word that lifts you. The Bible is full of them, and they all point the same way: God is with you, for you, and not finished with you. Here is an encouraging verse for today.
A verse for you
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Courage is commanded because God goes with you wherever you go.
KJVHave not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Courage is commanded because God goes with you wherever you go.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
God promises His presence, His strength and His help when fear is loud.
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
God is with you, rejoices over you, and quiets you with His love.
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
The Lord goes ahead of you and stays with you. You are not walking alone.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Do not give up doing good. The harvest comes in its time.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
If the Lord is your light and salvation, whom shall you fear?
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
If God is for you, no one who stands against you has the last word.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
God finishes what He starts. The good work in you will be completed.
Biblical encouragement is not positive thinking. It rests on facts about God. Joshua was told to be strong and courageous not because he was ready, but because “the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Zephaniah 3:17 gives one of the tenderest pictures in Scripture: God rejoicing over His people with singing. Whatever you feel about yourself today, that is how He looks at those who are His.
The Bible also asks us to pass encouragement on: “comfort yourselves together, and edify one another.” A verse sent at the right moment can carry a friend through a hard day.
Psalm 27:1, Romans 8:31 and Joshua 1:9 are short enough to memorize and send in a message.
Deuteronomy 31:8 or Zephaniah 3:17. Tap Share under any verse to send it as a beautiful image.
Galatians 6:9: “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
