I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Paul learned that in plenty or in need, Christ gives the strength for whatever comes.
Strength that does not depend on you: be strong in the Lord and His mighty power.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Strength that does not depend on you: be strong in the Lord and His mighty power.
KJV7With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: 8Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. 9And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. 10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
A letter about who we are in Christ and how that shapes our relationships.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Paul learned that in plenty or in need, Christ gives the strength for whatever comes.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Waiting on the Lord renews strength: you will run and not be weary.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
When you have nothing left, God gives power to the faint.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Courage is commanded because God goes with you wherever you go.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Your weakness is the place where God’s grace and power show up most clearly.
